Technical Program Manager, Automotive (f/m)

Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be chartered to lead, coordinate and drive cross-functional efforts in addressing Intel Programmable Solutions Group's PSG business and technical needs. You will be working to tactically drive critical customer issues to resolution as well as strategically addressing the PSG's top customer engagements. This will provide opportunities for broad internal and external exposure while delivering huge return to Intel and the worldwide customer base.

The successful candidate will be expected to comprehend internal and external challenges, lead and manage virtual teams to strategize and plan deliverables and milestones while managing risk. Effective communication to a broad range of stakeholders will be vital in the role. Embracing Intel's core values, having a positive can-do mindset, and having fun are essential attributes.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Will be part of the Technical Program Management team in the Customer Experience Group CEG within the PSG BU
  • Will be the program management point of contact for all of PSG and will work closely with Intel and BMW counterparts
  • Will travel to Karlsruhe as needed for meetings, synch up sessions and workshops
  • Be the face and window representative to the field team and to center of excellence centers


  • Align with the Project Leads of all 18 BMW Technical Streams
  • Align with key Intel BMW leads in Germany
  • Understand which Tech Streams depend on PSG deliverables what those deliverables are, associated milestones and timelines, map deliverables to PSG owners, track progress, hold owners accountable and escalate as necessary
  • Communicate regular status updates broadly PSG & Intel-Establish trust with BMW Tech Stream leads and build relationships

Sets direction for programs directly related to corporate policies or important business operations to meet strategic goals of significance. Leads the core team and guides performance of functional teams. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally. Assigns overall tasks to others managing general areas of responsibility in support of program goals. Exercises judgment and discretion to develops solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches. Recommends or sets business strategies or corporate policies and deviates as appropriate. Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs assigns resources, and communicates expectations to core team members. Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals. Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met. Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate. Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to program goals. Has advanced understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.


Qualifications include:
• 10+ years of Project Management and/or FPGA experience
• Automotive industry experience is an added benefit
• Strong leadership skills in the areas of defining expectations, removing barriers, receiving and providing feedback
• Superb articulation, communication, and presentation skills
• German speaking is a plus
