The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple aspects of production and path-finding activities, including but not limited to:

  • Direct team to design and develop video codecs and advanced video processing algorithms in native GenX language and C++, debug their functionalities
  • Design and implement usage cases regarding media and graphics, should have a deep understanding on both media and graphics.
  • Performance analysis and optimization for the media/GFX driver on various Intel platforms, be able to optimize the performance/quality from both sw and hw level.
  • Influence key stakeholders from different geos of VCD on media&gfx software and hardware design/development.
  • Lead the team in technology research and be able to collaborate with other team members.

- Master or PhD degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering with more than 10 years of related software design and development experience. - Architecture knowledge in one or more of the following areas: media delivery, immersive video, video analytic, Cloud gfx etc. - Hands on development experience of media codec(AVC, HEVC, VP9 etc), media framework (FFmpeg, Gstreamer…) and experience with OpenCL is preferred. - Excellent understanding and development experience of Linux Kernel, Graphic driver, GPU programming. - Proven verbal and written communication skills preferred. - Previous experiences with Intel MSDK or Intel libva is a big plus. - Experience working with multiple teams is desirable. - Self-discipline, self-driven, fast learner.
