Automotive HW Platform Product Manager

In this role, you will play a central and highly visible role on the TSD Planning and Product Management team. This team leads the business technology strategy, product definition, roadmaps, portfolio management, and GTM plans of Intel's automotive products - specifically the Software Defined Cockpit - TSD's flagship product line selling into many major auto OEMs today. The team works closely with external automotive manufacturers and tier 1's, ecosystem partners, as well as internal stakeholders to deliver innovative platform solutions and fuel growth for Intel. In this position, you will analyze market, competitive, sales and customer data to formulate market assessments, business plans and product definition for the needs of TSD's platform roadmap. Your focus will be in how to maximize success for exposing Intel technologies and platform differentiation. You will prioritize platform and product requirements, research product, manufacturing, and technology trends, prepare propose and collaborate on driving innovation into our automotive products, and author product collateral. You will present the products to Intel's customers and sales channels, and represent the market's needs to product engineering and marketing teams. The successful candidate will have great competence in working amidst ambiguity to ultimately understand and meet advanced automotive industry needs and goals. They must also have basic skills necessary to install, high level trouble shoot both HW and SW, with the ability to work with engineering and architects. This is a very technical and hands on product management position.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering or computer science, MBA a plus - 5+ years experience in Product Management- 3+ years of techncal experience in engineering or product management or equivalent- 3+ years experience with SoC products and platforms, with specific understanding and experience with HW and SW product management- Automotive industry, gfx, wireless, modem technology experience and understanding is a plus- Strategic thought leadership and willingness to take measured risks and challenge the status quo- Demonstrated team orientation and collaborative skills with stakeholder management- Experience utilizing excellent presentation and/or communication skills to help build teams and influence cross organization collaboration - Demonstrated ability to grasp very complex technical, marketing and business issues and to work with geographically dispersed teams - Ability to travel within the US and internationally - Willing to work hard but have fun doing it
