Cellular Modem HW Engineering Lead

Job Description

The Engineering lead in the RF and PMIC Development team, within the Cellular Solutions Group in the Intel Communications and Device Group (iCDG) is looking for an independent, self-motivated individual to help join this exciting team working on the newest cutting edge technology within the tech industry.

This role is in the System HW development team and will be responsible for:

  • Leading Cellular modem HW development, including modem validation platforms SVB, RF front-end engine HW, and system form-factor HW.
  • You will represent the system HW domain in the cross function transceiver and cellular modem platform teams ensuing that our Board and System HW meet the expectations of the development teams and deliver on time with exceptional quality.
  • Specific job scope and responsibilities include HW validation indicators, status reports, and communications
  • Directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
  • Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
  • Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions.
  • Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

Qualifications:

Must possess a minimum of a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or RF domain with the following minimum requirements:

  • 7+ years' Defining and represent system HW function and HW development and validation plans including RF Front-end modem platforms across internal verification teams and external customers
  • 7+ years' experience in RF system and product development
  • 5+ years' successfully demonstrating project planning and organizational skills
  • 5+ years' Managing Bring-up and validation planning and execution, across multi-functional, global platform teams including FW, SW, verification and modem platform core team primarily located in Germany
  • 5+ years leading and/or running system-debug/FA meetings to drive platform-level debug and issue resolution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must possess successful experience in international and cross functional teamwork, and problem solving capability
  • Good presentation skills, & adequate communication fluency in German language a plus
