Power Management Firmware Developer

Job Description
Come join Intel's Client/SOC Firmware organization within the Platform Engineering Group. We are seeking an innovative Firmware Engineer to work in a dynamic team environment to help drive the development of Power Management firmware for Intel's next generation IA CPUs and SOC's. In this position, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of firmware in pre-silicon environments and on post-silicon system platforms. You should have excellent problem solving skills, the ability to work in a team environment, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and work effectively with architecture, design and validation groups as well as support business groups and customers to deliver high quality products.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:You should possess a degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering + a minimum of 12+ years relevant work experience for BS, 10+ years for MS or 6+ years for PhD.Additional attributes include: - Significant experience/knowledge of computer architecture + CPU power management- Excellent software/firmware development and debug skills, with expertise in assembly and/or C/C++- Good scripting language eg Perl, Python, etc programming abilities- Excellent communication skills- Willingness to work in a competitive team environment The following would be an added advantage: - IA-32 assembly programming language experience- IA-32 architecture knowledge. - Digital logic design- System level understanding such as platform components, BIOS, OS, etc.
