Responsibilities and DutiesThis position is for a Design Automation engineer for the design team in the Intel Custom Foundry Group. Intel Custom Foundry Group is Intel's exciting new venture into collaborating with Industry hardware leaders and bringing their products onto Intel's leading edge process technology. The DA team within Intel Custom Foundry Design Team is looking for talented individuals who wish to be a part of this experience of building the Industry's next generation products. Looking for candidates in areas of SOC Design, Verification, CustomFlows and IP Quality Checks.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Develop automation flows on Industry standard tools to generate high performance and compact designs with a high degree of quality.Provide productive and efficient methods to solve design problems as they arise.Support team of engineers in the respective tool/flow domainsManage and coordinate the DA env releases to enable timely releases with high quality.Continuously monitor quality escapes, perform root cause analysis and drive improvements with DA team to further improve quality, and at the same time create opportunities to improve the existing processes and methodologies. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship.
You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer/Electrical Engineering or any related field.
Must have permanent unrestricted right to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
3 to 6 months experience in:
• Full design flow for an ASIC and Custom design.
• Programming language like SKILL, TCL, PERL C, and shell scripting.
• Digital design, circuits, layout.
• CMOS processes
• Good written and verbal communication for expressing technical ideas and initiatives
• Comfortable task switching and managing multiple tasks at the same time
