This position is a 24 month contract. The Application Engineer will be working primarily as a Software Engineer/Developer. Work closely with IMR business partners in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications as well as enhance functionality to existing databases. Design database driven web based charting application. Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications. Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and Intel corporate standards. Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs. Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications. Identify and isolate areas for improvement, and general debugging. Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines. Install web applications and deliver training as required. Liaison with Intel IT network administrators to assist in resolving problems with server, application support and/or company software systems. Coach and provide guidance to system support personnel.
