CPU Architecture Contract Consultant

Job Description
This is a contract position for an external expert in computer architecture research to provide input into Intel's future technologies to advance its CPU cores. Over the course of one week, the consultant will conduct technical reviews of ideas currently in pathfinding, provide technical feedback, and produce a set of recommendations for future technology evaluations. This contract engagement will be under a strict policy of Non-Disclosure and any/all resulting Intellectual Property will be entirely owned by Intel.


Qualifications

Candidates must possess the Minimum qualifications listed below to be considered for this contract position. The Preferred qualifications listed below are considered plus factors for identifying top candidates. Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.10+ years of computer architecture research experience in CPU cores and memory subsystems, as demonstrated by extensive accomplishments in the following areas:1.Publications of novel computer architecture research work in peer-reviewed conferences, including top-flight architecture conferences such as ISCA and MICRO.2.Journal publications on computer architecture topics in industry-recognized publications. 3.Patent awards for inventions in the computer architecture domain.4.Keynote, plenary, invited, and/or conference presentations on computer architecture topics.5.Academic and/or industry research awards given to outstanding researchers or for research works.No current or planned affiliation with any Intel competitors.Preferred Requirements:Academic faculty experience at a major computer architecture research university.Research collaborations with Intel or academic research supported by Intel.Past full-time or internship experience at Intel.Direct industry experience in CPU product research, development, delivery, and support.
