Job Description

Responsibilities include the development and preparation of multidimensional layouts and detailed drawings of semiconductor devices and microelectronic package assemblies. Responsibilities may be directed at a specific point in the design cycle, or vary as the project progresses through the design stage.  This role will review schematics and interpret them into physical layout forms as well as run verification flows. Assignments are somewhat complex in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Judgment is required in resolving moderately complex problems. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new work.  This is a 3 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.


Minimum Qualifications (Must Have)

-Candidate must possess a minimum of CMOS design certification/training OR must have a relevant technical educational qualification with background in layout entry and verification.

- Knowledge of industry standard layout and validation tools are required.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

-Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting languages e.g. PERL or TCL is a plus.

-Proficient in layout assignments from upper level layout floor planning to lowest level transistor entry.

-Able to recognize failure prone circuit and layout structures, proactively work with circuit designers for guidance and produce high quality results.
