High-Level Design Compiler Optimization Engineer

Job Description

As part of Intel, we will continue to apply Moore's Law to drive the future of field-programmable gate array FPGA technology. The Programmable Solutions Group PSG has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. In order to take advantage of the many opportunities that we see in the future for FPGA's, PSG is looking for great engineers to join our teams.As a member of the FPGA High Level Design Compiler Quality-of-Results QoR team you will be responsible for improving the performance metrics of the Intel FPGA OpenCL and HLS tool chains. You will be driving the improvements in the compiler through multiple angles, including the analysis of bottlenecks in user designs, implementation of compiler improvements and comprehensive benchmarking of the end result. As optimization is a global problem, some of the work may involve a mix of compiler software and hardware Register Transfer Level language. If you are interested in diverse technical challenges, working with great people to define the future direction of a key part of Intel PSG's business and putting your work directly into Intel's customer's hands then the FPGA HLD Compiler QoR team may be right for you.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
Minimum of one year of experience in:
- C/C++-
- Data Structures
- Algorithms

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compiler optimization techniques
- Experience with RTL Verilog/VHDL
- Familiarity with OpenCL
