Responsible for Linux patching, packaging, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting and recycling of UNIX/NT computer servers in a distributed computing environment. Executes production processes. Provides first level support for customer purchased services. Installs and tests operating systems, databases and/or supported enterprise applications. Troubleshoots for errors, performs recovery steps remotely or on site. Researches, recommends and/or implements system enhancements that will improve server/OS/application reliability, security and performance. May formulate, recommend and/or monitors policies, procedures, and standards relating to Operating Systems Provisioning. Trains personnel on system usage.
Inside this Business Group
Preferred experience of 1-2 years in OS Provisioning in Linux. Experience in doing similar tasks on Windows Environment will be added advantage.
