RESPONSIBILITIES: The Government Contract Manager will act as the primary interface with customers and business partners in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration, and serves a key role for our dynamic and fast-paced advanced business area, interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders. Acts as the official focal point of contact for customer communication and takes a lead role in strategic relationship development. Specifically, this position performs the following work responsibilities: -Works closely with program managers, finance, compliance and senior management to track and monitor contractual and financial information. -Works closely with all business operations activities, primarily in the areas of contracts to ensure contract compliance, compliance with internal procedures, and FAR/DFARS/DEAR and other agency supplemental regulations. -Leads the preparation of contractual language for complex, non-standard contract documents for protection of the company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, intellectual property rights, indemnification, and licensing. -Chartered to drive the contract negotiations process from inception to closure. In the role, the successful candidate will utilize his/her in-depth knowledge of contract language and structure to drive document negotiations and propose alternate contract language solutions, sometimes with minimal preparation time, as needed. Significant contract language experience with working standard and non-standard terms and conditions is required. -Participates in contract audits and may interface with auditors (government and public) on specific government contract audits or the periodic review of contracts as performed by outside public audit firms. -Supports pricing activities related to proposals, engineering change notices and proposals or other contract modifications. -Prepares and disseminates information to the Contracts department, business lines, and executive leadership team regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviations, negotiations, terminations, and close out activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: -Requires Bachelor's degree (in Business Administration or related field) with a minimum of 6 years of related (government/commercial contract negotiation/administration) experience. -Success in handling complex contracts with minimal supervision. -Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to problems utilizing proactive concepts, techniques, and standards. -Strong working knowledge of acquisition regulations -Experience with all contract types including firm fixed price, fixed price level of effort, cost type, and time and material contracts -Must possess leadership qualities with the ability to provide sound advice on a wide range of contractual and business related matters. -Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength with verbal, written, PC, presentation and communications skills. -Willing to travel up to 10/15%, as required. -May be able to obtain and maintain a USG Security Clearance, if necessary
