Security Architecture Pathfinding Lead

Job Description


The Data Center Group (DCG) drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power nine of every 10 servers sold worldwide.

The Security Pathfinding Lead will be responsible for the pathfinding of silicon, systems and solutions in hardware and software for new security needs of Data Center customers including but not limited to: Cloud, Enterprise, Network, Storage, HPC and Federal markets. The candidate needs to understand security requirements, silicon ingredients, system software and applicability to customer usages in the real world, understanding of cyber security is a bonus. The Security Pathfinding Lead will architect, innovate and anticipate current and future needs based on evolving markets needs, and trends.

The candidate will create concepts to solve current a future problems, develop new usage models, system architectures and prototypes. In addition the candidate will lead a team of experienced engineers to design and develop capabilities and ingredients geared towards driving DCG revenue. Interfacing with customers, end users and ecosystem partners will be required.

As a technical solutions expert and architect, this candidate must have hands-on security experience to design and implementation capabilities, drive efficient teamwork across a geographically distributed team, and the ability to articulate design plans to internal and cross-business units. Knowledge in one or more of the following in addition to security is a bonus: cloud, network, storage, compute virtualization, IoT, Big Data and HPC.


BS Engineering or related field, MS preferred
Minimum of 10 years related experience in:
- Security and Cyber Security Expertise
- Drive concepts and anticipate security needs
- Create Architectures and Specifications
- Platform Security and Hardening
- Security Development Lifecycle
- Solutions design and integration
- Customer and market needs / drivers
