Sets direction for programs directly related to corporate policies or important business operations to meet strategic goals of significance. Leads the core team and guides performance of functional teams. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally. Assigns overall tasks to others managing general areas of responsibility in support of program goals. Exercises judgment and discretion to develops solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches. Recommends or sets business strategies or corporate policies and deviates as appropriate. Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs assigns resources, and communicates expectations to core team members. Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met. Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate. Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business unit or crossorganizational strategies relevant to program goals. Has advanced understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.
Intel PSG is looking for an experienced Program Manager to supporting one of our major programs. Experience in FPGA or ASIC development desired. The candidate will be responsible for planning and managing new product development initiatives involving IC, IP, Software and development boards. As a member of PSG's Program Management Office, the candidate will be responsible for implementing best-in class project management practices with international teams in North America and Asia.The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:- Must be a self-starter with excellent project planning and management skills as well as excellent organization and communication skills.- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, energize and drive teams.- BS in Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 8+ years of experience.- Proven track record managing complex programs that bring multiple disciplines together HW, SW, Firmware, boards.- Strong understanding of a product development lifecycle: definition, development, verification, sampling, and rollout to production.- Experience coordinating programs across multiple organizations.- Expert user of project management tools.
