The Software Application Engineer works with the world's leading software companies, Service Providers and Original Equipment Manufacturers to enhance the performance their applications on Intel processor based client systems. The Software Application Engineer will have the opportunity of influencing not just the software that end users use on their platforms but also have an excellent opportunity to influence Intel's next generation ingredient features including graphics, Input/Output, wireless technologies etc. by interacting with teams in Intel's business groups.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Must have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related field.
-At the bachelor level the candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
- Minimum of 6 months experience with:
• Software Development including application design and development
• Programming with C/C++
• Standard Algorithms
-Software performance skills performance profiling.
-Performing algorithmic or low level code optimizations in C/C++ applications
- Experience with multi-threading and multi-tasking concepts for applications
- Experience in Qt, Java*, .NET*, and C , distributed computing paradigms such as WebServices, XML.
- Familiarity with the Linux environment.
