Artificial Intelligence Strategy Planner

Job Description

Join the Datacenter Strategic Planning DSP organization in the Datacenter Group DCG. DSP is the IT's industry leading product planning and strategy team responsible for planning and securing investments in the CPU, Server Platform, IP and extended ingredient roadmap for Intel's fastest growing and most profitable business. The AI Planner is responsible for ensuring Intel's Datacenter product portfolio delivers world class artificial intelligence capabilities in the areas of deep learning, machine learning, and advance analytics. You will be at the lead of Intel's mission to embed AI capabilities and solutions in Intel's products and enable the IT industry to advance knowledge and deliver new services. The Planner's responsibilities1.Deep understanding of the AI market direction and workloads: The Planner will help the Datacenter group predict the direction and growth of the AI market and the role of competitors. They can understand the applications, workloads and end user work flow and in collaboration with senior architects, breakdown the workloads to their underling character, algorithms and foundational primitives 2.IP and Product Planning: The planner will engage with top cloud, OEM and end customers and work with senior platform and CPU architects to drive the technical analysis to identify IP, products and SW tools and libraries to accelerate AI workloads on Intel Architecture. Additional expertise in systems, including networking, memory, and storage is also desired. The planner will also do the business and financial analysis to identify and value opportunities.3.Portfolio Strategy and decision making: The Planner will work with Intel's leading architects and managers to establish objectives and propose strategic options across the entire portfolio of Intel products including Xeon and Xeon PHI CPUs and Deep Learning Engines. 4.IP and Product Planning: The planner will manage the cross-functional teams that defines products and IP and lead the proposal to management for investment.

DSP is the IT’s industry leading product planning and strategy team responsible for planning and securing investments in the CPU, Server Platform, IP and extended ingredient roadmap for Intel’s fastest growing and most profitable business.
The Strategic Planner is responsible for ensuring Intel’s Datacenter CPU and server platform product portfolio delivers world class capabilities for fast growing workloads such as deep learning, machine learning, and advanced data analytics. You will be part of the advanced team leading Intel’s mission to accelerate critical customer workloads and enable the IT industry to advance knowledge and deliver new services. The Planner’s responsibilities include;

1. Deep understanding of workloads: The Planner will help the Datacenter group predict the direction and growth of workload areas such as artificial intelligence. The planner will seek to understand the applications in collaboration with senior architects, breakdown the workloads to their underlying foundational primitives

2. IP and Product Planning: The planner will engage with top customers, drive the technical analysis to HW and SW solutions to accelerate workloads on Intel Architecture. Additional expertise in systems, including networking, memory, and storage is also desired.

3. Portfolio Strategy and decision making: The Planner will work with Intel’s leading architects and managers to establish objectives and propose strategic options across the entire portfolio of Intel products which includes the Xeon CPU. The planner will also do the business and financial analysis to identify and value opportunities.

4. IP and Product Planning: The planner will manage the cross-functional teams that defines products and IP and lead the proposal to management for investment.

The ideal candidate will need

• Experience with or deep understanding of workloads, especially machine learning and advanced analytics
• Customer acumen to build relationships, trust and influence with customers.
• Technical, product, and datacenter experience in order to engage with customers and work with integrated circuit architecture and design teams to plan requirements
• Business and product strategy acumen to perform business and financial analysis on product investment proposals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to and talk with many different technical and non-technical audiences

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or an MBA.
-7+ years of experience in architecture, design, and/or product management of datacenter compute solutions or 7+ years of experience defining business strategies and technical product requirements with successful execution.

Desired Skills:

-Self-starter who can identify new business opportunities based on customer’s needs, translate the needs into technical product requirements, and evaluate the investment.
-Technical knowledge of datacenter and the interaction with massively scaled applications.
-Experience with a variety of technologies such as CPU and servers, datacenter infrastructure, Ethernet, and memory
-Success in leading complex, cross-organization teams to deliver business results.
-Excellent customer communication and collaboration skills.
-Mix of creativity and analytical business skills who can get results
