Information Security Scrum Master/Project Lead

Job Description

Come join Intel's Information Technology Group as a Scrum Master in Information Security Engineering. As an Scrum Master and IT project lead, you will be responsible for leading the agile transformation at the team level and for the successful execution of one or more teams to support the delivery of strategic technology products. You will provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the teams to encourage adoption of agile principles and practices, avoiding anti-patterns, and will empower the team to become self-directed and self-managing. You will be responsible for forecasting and planning resource requirements. You will work with Product Owners to anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively develop solutions.Additional responsibilities include:- Excellent stakeholder management skills for dealing with partners in engineering, program/product managers and customers- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog- Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology and execution- Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality- Establish team level cadence and drive team level ceremonies e.g. sprint planning, team retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc. in alignment with Program level cadences established


Qualifications

• As a Scrum Master you will lead the team and be responsible for leading the agile transformation at the team level and for the successful execution of one or more teams to support the delivery of strategic technology products.
• You will provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the teams to encourage adoption of agile principles and practices, avoiding anti-patterns, and will empower the team to become self-directed and self-managing.
• You will be responsible for forecasting and planning resource requirements. You will work with Product Owners to anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively develop solutions.
• You will be responsible to come up with Release planning, Sprint planning, backlog creation & grooming, Sprint kickoff, sprint review and retrospectives
• Based on the product roadmap you will plan out Releases and sprints with consulting the Product owner
• Additional responsibilities include:- Excellent stakeholder management skills for dealing with partners in engineering, program/product managers and customers
• Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog- Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology and execution
• Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality
• Establish team level cadence and drive team level ceremonies e.g. sprint planning, team retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc. in alignment with Program level cadences established
• Supporting the team in documenting the User stories and prioritizing (with Product owner's alignment) in Rally tool
• Willingness to step in and play the technical SA role when needed
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of relevant experience as IT PM and/or Agile practitioner
• First level Scrum Master certification CSM, PSM I Preferred - Second level Scrum Master certification CSP, PSM II - PMP certification-
• Experience with Rally
• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
• Analyst skills - helping the team by understanding the requirements and creating user stories in Rally tool
• Knowledge of common security systems, practices- Information Security experience is highly desirable- Security certifications, such as GSEC or CISSP, are a plus- Excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
