Director of Ecosystem Development

Job Description
The Intel Custom Foundry ICF Strategy&Planning S&P team is looking for a talented and experienced individual to be part of our winning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accelerating and expanding the relevance of Intel Custom Foundry with ecosystem players by driving relationships and strategic objectives to achieve meaningful results through effective collaboration and outsourcing. This person will serve as the primary focal point and coordinating interface for ecosystem partners in the domains of IP development, EDA tools/flows/methods TFM utilization, ASIC design services, and associated activities. Able to "connect the dots" from disparate disciplines Process development, Platform/Design-Kit definition, Customer needs, Partner success factors to drive overall ICF success. Contribute to S&P strategic objectives by collaborating across ICF groups and Intel BUs to formulate new/novel ecosystem strategies and operating/business models that materially impact the productivity and profitability of ICF. Own effective coordination of all ecosystem related matters through weekly cross-ICF Ecosystem Coordination Meetings ECM so senior stakeholder alignment is maintained through transparent exposure of issues and developments. Work closely with internal ICF technical teams AMS-IP, F-IP, ASIC-design, TFM, and platform PMTs to proactively drive ecosystem strategic options and recommend appropriate partitioning between internal and external approaches. Work closely with GSM/iCap/Finance colleagues to provide business solutions using optimized outsourcing transactions and M&A vehicles to produce best life-cycle ROI for ICF investments.


Qualifications

Must possess a BS or MS in a technically relevant subject. An MBA or equivalent experience in a business discipline is highly desired. At least 15 years working in the semiconductor design and manufacturing industry is required. Direct experience working in one or more of the following disciplines is a must: Foundry technologies, Fabless SoC design, AMS-IP development, F-IP memory compiler and standard cell library development, ASIC design services, EDA TFM development. At least 5 years experience negotiating third-party contracts comprehending advantageous deal structures and critical contract provisions associated with intellectual property rights, licensing scope, ownership and distribution rights, Statements of Work, confidentiality, etc . The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate credible expertise and influence with ICF technical teams and other Intel/internal BU stakeholders LTD, MIG, PEG, etc. to drive issues to resolution. Similarly, the ideal candidate will possess the necessary domain expertise and business acumen to interact as a peer/leader with ecosystem partners like Synopsis, ARM, Cadence, Ansys, Mentor, etc. Proven program management skills are required as is flexibility towards working in a fast-moving environment where managing change and dealing with ambiguity can be anticipated. Comfortable working in a team context contributing to strategy recommendations and an analytical ability to assess third party company offerings to augment ICF solutions is also required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate self-reliance and work with the minimum of supervision for execution and results. A pro-active mentality and willingness to "lean-in" to projects will be necessary.
