Corporate Security Executive Protection Specialist

Corporate Security's Executive Protection Specialist serves as an investigator within Corporate Security with a focus on managing security for Intel Events and executive staff travel to certain locations. This includes working with executive staff trip planners, TA's and other senior Intel managers to understand trip objectives, event schedules and assisting in the arrangement of trip logistics and safe movement between travel destinations while traveling on Intel business.

Physical fitness is a critical component of event and executive coverage as it involves not only having sufficient stamina to handle the long hours, travel, standing, etc., but the expectation that there will be situations requiring expenditure of energy - whether it's running, lifting, moving injured people, overpowering a potential attacker, etc. Fitness and conditioning is also as much for the EST member's health and well-being as it is the protected.

The candidate must be able to:

- Create detailed security plans prior to each event or trip including country risk assessments and recommendations.

- When appropriate, visit planned trip locations to assess best transportation routes, locate venues, identify security risks, evaluate hotels, and fine tune trip plans.

- Accompany Intel executives to provide security and assist in the seamless transportation between locations working closely with Sr. level managers around the world.

- Create documented security plans for major Intel events, i.e. consumer shows and sales conferences.

- Ensure that contract security resources are identified and provide contractually agreed services during the event and assist with all security related matters during the event.

- Interface with global law enforcement agencies as needed.

- Work closely with Site Operations Security personnel and provide basic event and other security training as needed.

- Achieve and maintain annual training and certification in the areas of protective security operations and medical EMT B equivalent.

Position requires extensive travel and will include working long hours. Candidates must submit and pass a position of trust POT background check.

Strong project management skills to include: organization, communications, documentation, and cross group collaboration. Ability to assess risks to personnel and assets and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure their safety. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate clearly/effectively by both written and verbal means. Ability to work as an individual or as a member of a team with little or no direct supervision. Ability to clearly articulate a well-reasoned opinion. Ability to be comfortable working and interacting with senior executives, other external VIP's to include high level government officials, corporate executives and figures from the entertainment world. Unquestionable integrity and strong commitment to keep high level discussions, event activities and strategic plans confidential. Ability to provide medical attention in the short term until professional medical services are available. Ability to assess quickly evolving situations situational awareness and appropriately modify plans to ensure success. Ability to adapt to current and changing situations. Ability to travel and work long hours and stay focused. Willingness to be away from home for long periods of time Strong analytical skills. Research, assessment, and presentation skills.

Additional Job Duties:

In this position, you may be called upon to investigate a variety of incidents to include, but not limited to internal theft, freight theft, fraud, misconduct, and workplace violence prevention. Investigations may be internal or external and will require partnering with various personnel including, but not limited to other Corporate Security personnel, Human Resources, inside and outside council, technical forensic investigators, and law enforcement. Investigations are conducted in accordance with company processes and protocols.

This position will also support various Corporate Security programs oversight or development that may include, but are not limited to pre-employment background investigations, workplace violence prevention, and various compliance programs.

This position will make recommendations to Corporate Security management relating to security effectiveness, efficiency, and continuous improvements. At times you may work closely with and provide coverage for other Corporate Security personnel including, but not limited to Security Operations Managers and Emergency Managers.

This is a salaried "exempt" position. Core hours are 8-5 M-F, but will require flexibility to cover both expected and unexpected events or investigations that will come up at inconvenient times during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Corporate Security is part of a larger Corporate Services organization that provides the infrastructure for every aspect of Intel's business. As a Corporate Services position, this position may need to assist from time to time with programs or duties that have no direct link to Corporate Security.


Minimum Requirements:

-6+ years of experience in law enforcement, investigations, corporate security, or similar
-Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field
-4+ years of experience in Executive Protection, protection of individuals, or similar assignment
-International travel experience in Executive security/Personal security
-Ability to apply effective interview/interrogation skills along with familiarity with investigative principles, including logical progression, link analysis, cause and effect, and documentation and evidence protocol
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases while maintaining the standard of quality
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to build working relationships with internal and external partners, including law enforcement
-Generally proficient with computers, and comfortable working with technology
-Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
-Ability to obtain and maintain a passport
-Ability to travel nationally and internationally to all locations and countries where Intel does business, including shipping lanes
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and follow applicable Privacy laws, policies, and guidelines
-Must adhere to a strict Investigator's Code of Conduct for conducting investigations using only legal and ethical means
-Ability to pass the standard pre-employment background investigation. In addition, your integrity must be and remain above reproach. General knowledge of criminal laws relating to theft, fraud, threats, violence, extortion.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Master's degree
-Certified Personnel Protection CPP
-Certified Fraud Examiner CFE
-Law enforcement experience police officer, tactical team, etc.
-Private sector investigations experience
-Formal interviewing/interrogation training
