Supplier Quality Reliability Engineer (Chassis and Mechanical Component)

Job Description
  • Responsible for quality and reliability of chassis and mechanical components used in various products manufactured in the Intel SIMS factory located in Kulim.
  • Work closely with Intel's Commodity Management, Engineering and Product development teams to manage external suppliers in delivering these components to Intel.
  • Responsible on external supplier quality and reliability management, change management, supplier quality assessments, component qualification, excursion management, and continuous improvement.
  • Expect to work with Intel business unit and product Q&R teams to meet final product requirements.
  • Support internal and external supplier meetings across multiple time zones.
  • Perform on-site supplier quality assessments, critical supplier builds are on-going or excursion response audits.


• Degree in Engineering or Applied Science with min 5 years of extensive Q&R experience in various mechanical components manufacturing and development.
• Knowledge and experience with processes such as metal stamping, metal forming, machining, die casting, plastic injection molding and surface finish processes is desired.
• Supplier management and strong quality management system skills are critical.
• Good communication and stakeholder influencing are required for the position.
• Work independently in a multi-organization team environment.
• Flexible work schedule to support internal and external supplier meetings across multiple time zones.
• Some travel is required.
