Job Description We are a looking for a passionate and talented individual to come do an internship with our Power, Performance and Thermal PPT Validation team within Intel's SSD group. The successful candidate will work closely within the architecture team, system Integrator, hardware, firmware, and driver development teams. The candidate should have strong problem solving skills, and strong communication skills. Performance validation can sometimes be more of an art than a science so we are looking for people comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to make sense out of chaos. The candidate should be interested in getting an understanding of platform architecture and general knowledge of computer system design. Specifically, the will seek to understand OS/software stack, SSD architecture, microprocessors, memory subsystems, and bus interfaces.Responsibilities include:- Work closely with FW engineers/System Integrators in finding the root cause for failures- Work closely with Validation leads to come up with test plan and test processes for new products and features- Architecting test strategy and working with development team to automate these tests- Analyze results, generate indicators and communicate status updates NSG is a growing part of Intel, come join us if you would like to find out what the hype is all about!
You must be pursuing a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: - Understanding of Windows\Linux based operating systems- Experience with high level programming and scripting languages eg. C, python, perl, batch - Experience in validation with strong debug skills - Experience in handling and taking measurements using DC Power analyzers - SAS, SATA, PCIe and/or NVMe storage protocol experience is a plus

Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group: The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive (SSD) system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing.
