PYA(Product Yield Assurance) Manager

Job Description

The PYA Manager is responsible for directing a team of fab product engineers (PYA engineers) to maximize the value of product shipped from the fab. This includes sustaining the current multi-part type technology nodes. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

·        Completing all required safety training and ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with Intel safety policies

·        Partnering with stakeholders to improve cumulative yield

·        Monitoring metrics and driving improvements relative to BE yield and product performance business needs for Intel NSG

·        Partnering with stakeholders to enable increased fab output volumes

·        Overseeing the PQA review and approval for class 1-2 process changes (GCPs) for compliance to quality, reliability, and risk expectations

·        Overseeing product test changes, ensuring adequate test coverage, and minimizing testing overkill

·        Guiding direct reports to partner with stakeholders to investigate and source new product failure modes

·        Maintaining and overseeing frequent and periodic meetings with Intel NSG product engineering groups to ensure that critical business needs and fab actions are aligned

·        Representing Intel NSG concerns at select manufacturing engineering meetings

·        Aligning processes and methodologies with peer teams within the Non-Volatile fab network

·        Managing projects to ensure that deliverables are completed within the required timeframe

·        Communicating with stakeholders to ensure success on each product throughout the product lifecycle

·        Managing the performance and professional career development of direct reports

·        Encouraging team member engagement by setting challenging goals and communicating line-of-sight to Intel company goals

·        Ensuring that the PYA team has skill redundancy and succession plans for key positions


Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Advanced understanding of semiconductor processing, device physics, and quality and reliability fundamentals
• Advanced electrical failure analysis and characterization background
• Proven ability to communicate and present technical information
• Proven ability to drive multiple complex projects to completion at the same time
• Proven ability to make sound, data-driven decisions
• Proven ability to accurately analyze and interpret data
• Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Proven ability to develop and coach team members
• Proven ability to mentor and successfully manage the performance of direct and eventual reports
• Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups and build strong peer relationships
• Demonstrated ability to develop and promote technical expertise
• Proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure

Education and Experience: MS, or PhD in semiconductor device physics, material science, physics and chemical Engineering or related field. Previous product, device or test area supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.
