Job Description
Manages programs of large (may be global) scope, impact and complexity through all phases of the lifecycle. Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. Has decision making authority at the program level. Handles cross organizational programs of broad scope and high complexity or of broad scope and moderate complexity usually managing a core team that manages functionally specific teams. Sets direction for programs directly related to corporate policies or important business operations to meet strategic goals of significance. Leads the core team and guides performance of functional teams. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally. Assigns overall tasks to others managing general areas of responsibility in support of program goals. Exercises judgment and discretion to develops solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches. Recommends or sets business strategies or corporate policies and deviates as appropriate. Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs; assigns resources, and communicates expectations to core team members. Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals; Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met. Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate. Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business unit or crossorganizational strategies relevant to program goals. Has advanced understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.


Qualifications

The Sr Program Manager within Platform Engineering Group provides a continuum of innovative pre-silicon capabilities to develop software and test silicon earlier. Specifically, PEG delivers prototyping complex platforms (Virtual Platform, FPGA and System Level Emulation) across all Intel segments and customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate experienced program manager to become a member of our team. Program managers interface with our internal customers and key stakeholders to ensure both delivery of our solutions and the success of our customers. The Sr Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing execution to Pre-Silicon Systems (PSS) milestones on the Product Life Cycle (PLC). The Program Manager must be comfortable driving broad transformation initiatives and working with executive partners to remove roadblocks to achieve our customers' success. Specifically, the Sr Program Manager will be responsible for managing planning and execution of transformational Pre-Si System programs targeted to reduce Intel product Time to Market by enabling Firmware/Software Readiness prior Silicon. Your role will include, but is not limited to execution management of main Pre-Silicon program milestones, Pre-Silicon Software Development (PSSD) pre-silicon infrastructure (Virtual Platform, Hybrid FPGA, System Level Emulation (SLE)) delivery to internal Software & Firmware teams for developing/validating their production SW stacks as well as to validation teams for Software / Hardware co-validation. You will work closely with the engineering teams developing the PSSD infrastructure, and customers and partners across Business Groups to plan and execute PSSD Software content on PSSD infrastructure. Activities: Develops processes and methodologies to ensure success of a complex project, including but not limited to product and release planning, identification of milestones & project goals, creation of schedules, and tracking of all items to ensure successful project delivery. Manages the project deliverables and project milestones. Sets direction and makes / drives key program decisions. Drives creation and execution of the program Plan of Record, including Scope, Requirements Management, Success Criteria, Schedule, Resources, and Quality. Responsible for stakeholder management, including coordination of departmental or cross-functional/cross-organizational teams as well as communication within the organization, outward to other internal groups and external customers. Acts as a single program voice. Strong understanding of customer needs and customer environment. Defines and manages the project plan, driving closure on issues and gaps as well as maintains focus on continuous improvement. Develops processes and methodologies to ensure success of a complex project, including but not limited to product and release planning, identification of milestones & project goals, creation of schedules, and tracking of all items to ensure successful project delivery. You must possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in Engineering. A Master's Degree is strongly preferred. Minimum qualifications include: - 8+ years of program management experience - 5+ years of SW / HW product development or enabling - 5+ years of direct Program Management experience
