2017 Research Scientist

Job Description

Come join the Intel Labs Security and Privacy Research Group. We are looking for a systems and security expert to conduct research on next generation data center security problems. This includes the security of personal and enterprise data in emerging cloud computing paradigms, including technologies such as OpenStack, as well as the security of data that is shared between the cloud and mobile devices such as phones and tablets. You will identify new security trends, and develop prototypes to evaluate and improve the latest platform security technologies. You will have the opportunity to showcase your work at internal and external forums and your innovations will lay the foundation for future Intel products.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job/internship and/or school/research experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a MS degree or a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other science/engineering related field.
- Minimum 1 year of Strong systems programming and debug experience in Linux
- Minimum 1 year experience with Virtualization and VMM internals/development
- Minimum 1 year Knowledge of x86 processor concepts like paging features, protected mode, etc.
- Minimum 1 year experience/understanding of fundamental security concepts
Desired Qualifications:
Linux OS internals, Security vulnerabilities & attacks, TXT, SGX, Crypto API, a plus.
